ABOUT

Elder Grange is a purpose-built nursing home, situated within the residential area of Governor's Hill, Douglas on the Isle of Man. Essential facilities including a GP surgery, chemist, general store, and a public house, are all close by. It’s very easy to find by car and or via public transport services, with a bus stop just a short walk away.

Operational since 1994, Elder Grange features 82 bedrooms, most of which are ensuite. There are spacious lounges, dining areas and sunrooms where residents can sit, relax, and admire the stunning view of the Manx countryside.

INDIVIDUALISED CARE

All residents have the opportunity to participate in the planning of their own care, along with relatives and/or nominated friends.

We will create a bespoke care plan, which will include things like eating preferences, daily routines and activities, and any medical needs.

Whatever the level of care needed, we’ll work with you to identify the optimal scenario.

Friendly and caring staff

Our highly skilled and experienced care team strive to ensure everyone has a pleasant experience while staying at Elder Grange.

We have a dedicated training and development provider, offering regular assistance to the team. This ensures that our professional accreditations and specialist care standards are maintained.

Bright and comfortable accommodation

Our beautifully furnished bedrooms provide a safe and welcoming environment for all residents. All rooms include electric profiling beds, call bell facilities with intercom, telephones, wi-fi internet access and television points. Residents are encouraged to bring personal belongings, photographs, and selected items of furniture to help make their rooms feel more like a ‘home from home’.

All bathrooms, shower rooms and toilets are ‘nurse assisted’ with the latest equipment, to ensure comfort and safety.

Delicious food

Nourishment is key to wellbeing. Our team of highly talented chefs create delicious meals with the freshest and most nutrient-rich ingredients available. Dietary needs are gladly catered for, and preferences are always considered.

Mealtimes are often a social experience. The warm, friendly dining spaces are popular with our residents; however, room service is also available.

Everyone has access to snacks and refreshments throughout the day, from our kitchenette.
