Our Care

With almost 30 years of experience in providing first class care on the Isle of Man, we are committed to supporting our residents in every possible aspect. Our teams are dedicated and highly skilled, and we are equipped to provide any type of care, whether it's long-term, dementia or respite.

NURSING CARE

Elder Healthcare is dedicated to providing the very best long-term care, while encouraging residents to be as independent as possible. We constantly evaluate and update our services to ensure our residents and their families feel heard, supported, and valued.

We arrange an assessment with each resident before they join our community, primarily to establish their care and social needs. Bespoke, resident-led care plans are then drafted in collaboration with family, carers, and where necessary, GPs. Independence, choice, and respect are values at the heart of this process.

24-hour nursing care is available, with the support of medical consultations with local GPs.

DEMENTIA CARE

Specialist dementia care is provided around the clock at both homes, in dedicated units which provide secure, safe and dementia-friendly environments designed to allow residents to feel at ease.

The centre is run by an exceptional team of nurses and carers, who uphold Elder Healthcare’s ‘person-centred’ approach to the care and support of residents. All staff are fully trained in dementia care, and the space is further secured with state-of-the-art technology such as motion-sensors in bedrooms, and coloured signage throughout to assist residents with orientation. Residents can enjoy memory boxes, reminiscence therapy, varied activities, and access to a quiet lounge, and secluded patio, which is lovely in good weather.

RESPITE CARE

If you're in need of a short break and a little support, we can provide flexible respite care for however long is needed to support residents and their families. If we can accommodate you at the requested time, a full assessment would be required prior to the stay.
